Students from Elanora State High School recently participated in the Gold Coast Science and Engineering Challenge, an engaging day of innovation, collaboration and problem-solving. We were honoured to host this event, presented by The University of Newcastle, in partnership with Griffith University and the Rotary Club of Ashmore.
With 16 schools from across the region working in teams, students were challenged to apply STEM concepts to authentic design tasks, encouraging them to think creatively, test ideas and develop practical solutions.
The challenge provided students with the opportunity to strengthen important future-focused skills including critical thinking, communication, teamwork and resilience.
Experiences such as these reflect Elanora's commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities that connect classroom knowledge with real-world application.
By building strong partnerships with organisations such as Griffith University, Elanora continues to create pathways that empower students to explore their interests, develop confidence and prepare for future success.
Learning. Innovation. Opportunity.
This is future-ready learning at Elanora State High School.
