Gold Coast Secondary School Sport
The 2026 Gold Coast Secondary South (GCSS) Interschool Sport program will run across five Cluster Days throughout the year, with participation compulsory for all students in Years 7–12. These days provide students with the opportunity to represent the school in competitive interschool sport while developing teamwork, sportsmanship and school pride. Please note that there will be no formal classes running on Cluster Days.
GCSS Cluster Days will be held throughout Terms 1 to 3 on the following dates:
- Tuesday 3 March (Term 1, Week 6),
- Wednesday 29 April (Term 2, Week 2),
- Tuesday 12 May (Term 2, Week 4),
- Tuesday 2 June (Term 2, Week 7)
- Wednesday 22 July (Term 3, Week 2).
- Finals Day: Tuesday 18 August (Term 3, Week 6)
Pillar Program
When GCSS Interschool Sport is not running on a Wednesday afternoon, students in Years 7–12 will participate in the school's Pillar Program during Period 5. This program is a key part of the school timetable and supports learning and engagement beyond traditional classroom settings.
The Pillar Program is built around the four pillars of the school: Academic, Action, Citizenship and Cultural. Participation is compulsory for all students, and attendance is expected. Through this program, students are encouraged to build leadership skills, contribute positively to the school community, and engage in experiences that support their personal growth and wellbeing.
