MIS stands for Managed Internet Services. Every Staff and Student member of Education Queensland has a unique MIS username and password that is used to access a variety of online resources provided by the department.
A MIS username is made up of the first initial your first name, followed by the first four letters of your surname, followed by a number. For example, Mark Smith may have the MIS username of msmit44.
All students will use their MIS ID on a daily basis – it's how they login to the school computers, access the internet on their BYOD device and it identifies them for a number of school-based activities. The MIS ID also makes up your student's email address. For example, the Mark Smith from above would have the email address msmit44@eq.edu.au.
Knowledge of both your student's MIS ID and their email address is imperative to the completion of the tasks below.
At Elanora State High School, The HUB staff have the ability to reset all student accounts and set up passwords. Any student having difficulty with their MIS accounts need to come to the HUB during break times for assistance in re-activating their accounts.
If your child is still at primary school, you will need to contact that school to have passwords reset.
It is important to make sure you are entering the correct information when signing in with your school account. The two main school login screens you will see are:
The Microsoft Login page, which will always require your students email address:
And the MIS login page, which requires your students Username (not the email) and Password:
