Deadly Choices Program

It is planned that this program should run for year 7, 8 and 9 in Term 2.  If you already have consent forms please return them to the student services window or to Mrs Burgess in G4.  If you are interested in participating please collect a form from Mrs Burgess at G4 at Lunch break.

NRL School to Work

If you have received a consent form to participate in this program please return it directly to Melissa or you can return it to Mrs Burgess at school via the student services counter or directly at G4. Information should have also been emailed to parents and carers of Year 11 and 12 students. Please contact me with any queries.

Have you already left school?

Interested in an apprenticeship? Applications for the 2018 Indigenous Apprenticeship Programme are now open. But don't delay as they close May 6th 2018.
 

What’s on offer:

  • 12 month apprenticeship with one of several government agencies
  • career in the Australian Public Service
  • It’s full-time work with a good salary
  • on-the-job training
  • There’s no need for a degree! 
  • After successful completion, participants will have a nationally recognised certificate or diploma
  • There are jobs in all capital cities and most regional areas across Australia
  • Participants supported by an Indigenous mentor

Indigenous Elders and Influencer Breakfast

An opportunity to learn about the variety of pathways for Indigenous Australians inthe Australian Defence Force. The breakfast is on 10 May at RACV Royal Pines Resort beginning at 9am.  More details available in the flyer (PDF, 336Kb).

Bush Tucker Calendar

The Gold Coast Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service produce a bush tucker calendar and they are currently looking for feedback on the calendars.
