This policy applies to all students and staff at Elanora State High School and is intended to provide clear and consistent guidelines about assessment. It aims to ensure the application of policies and procedures that are fair and equitable to all students from Years 7 to 12.

Every day and every lesson counts. This document covers school and parental obligations regarding attendance as well as absences and lateness.
Communication and Technologies Acceptable Use Policy (PDF, 127kb)
It is expected students will use ICTs and all forms of electronic equipment (including all personal electronic devices (networked AND non-networked) which students bring to school) appropriately. Computers and other resources are provided for use in teaching and learning only.
When logging on to a school device students acknowledge DETE terms and conditions, that is, ‘When using the network and facilities you must act lawfully and in line with the rules that apply to you. For
students – the code of School Behaviour and the rules of your school.’

This explains what is expected from students regarding completion of homework at Elanora State High School. It also explains the process if an extension is requested.
Resorative Justice Programs (PDF, 127Kb)
Mediation is one of the restorative practices in use at Elanora SHS. All of the restorative practices use as the philosophical base that the individual has to own his or her behaviour and therefore
take responsibility for it and need to repair the harm caused to the relationship by his/her actions. Other restorative practices include: restorative justice mediations, restorative circles, restorative thinking classroom, return-to-school from suspension agreements.

Elanora State High School aims to achieve maximum learning outcomes for students recognising the reciprocal relationship between academic success and social behaviour and thus aiming to ensure students can mature into responsible and active global citizens.
