Travel Opportunities

We understand that whilst International students are here in Australia they will want to take every opportunity to travel and visit some of our beautiful sites and locations and what our beautiful country has to offer.

International students need to be aware that there are certain guidelines and restrictions to travelling within Australia. This is due to the welfare arrangement in place for students.

Please refer to the International Student Travel Policy to familiarize yourself with the travel conditions prior to arriving in Australia. The suburb of Elanora is situated close to our pristine golden surf beaches and only 15 minutes to Coolangatta and 25 minutes to Surfers Paradise, which are locations our students enjoy visiting during their stay with us. Not to mention being in close proximity to our two largest shopping centres, so getting around on the Gold Coast is very easy with transport options regularly available.

As part of the International Program Elanora State High offer’s Day trips to the beautiful Byron Bay and Brisbane where we take in all the sites and give students the opportunity to explore and get some scenic photographs to take home with them. Our Student Coordinator also offers an opportunity to travel each term with some great locations to choose from, please see below so of the travel opportunities we offer our International students at Elanora State High School that you can choose from.
