Updated Assessment Policy

​This semester Elanora SHS has updated the schoolwide assessment policy and procedures. This is to bring the school into line with the New QCE system which will come online in 2019. There have been some significant changes to the way students are required submit written assessments and the enforcement of due dates. Some changes include:
 

  • Electronic submission of assessments through Turnitin, to ensure authenticity.
  • A final copy of written assessments, with the task and cover sheet attached, is to be submitted at the specified location for the grade (Year 7 -9 – Library and Year 10 – 12 – Student Service) by 1:55pm on the due date. A receipt of submission will be issued to the student.              
  • Late assessments will not be marked without an official Application for Extension form, which can provided by a Head of Department. This must be done in a timely manner for it to be approved. In cases where students do not submit a response to an assessment by the due date, judgements will be made using evidence available on or before the due date. 
  • Students absent on the due date must make arrangements to submit the assignment to the school office prior to 3:30pm on that day. This can be done by emailing the assessment to assessment@elanorashs.eq.edu.au. Absence is not a valid reason to not submit.
