Third-Party Website Consent

15/02/2017

Today in their form classes students in years 8 - 12 would have received a consent form for parents to sign and return to school.

The purpose of this form is to gain consent for student use of three websites in the day-to-day schooling at Elanora State High School.

These three websites are:

  • Turnitin.com - an external academic resource to check the originality of student assignments

  • OnGuard - an external website that allows students to sit Workplace Health and Safety Assessments for Manual Arts, Science and Technology subjects

  • Scratch - an external website that is used for the teaching of coding in our junior school

Each of the above sites require student registration and as a result we require consent for their use. In each of the above instances we limit the amount of student data given to each site (student name and login only).

We believe that each of these sites each add value to your child's education and as such are going to these lengths to gain consent for their use.

If these forms could be signed and returned to your students form teacher at your earliest convenience, than that would be greatly appreciated.

For further information, then please don't hesitate to contact the school on admin@elanorashs.eq.edu.au.
