Mental health first aid course

At ESHS, we welcome the participation of parents and the community in school life, as they play a vital role in assisting the development of students.  Supporting adolescents to deal with challenges can be difficult and confusing at times.

Our school has partnered with EDLINQ, who has kindly offered the Youth Mental Health First Aid Course free of charge to teachers, parents and the community in Term 4.  Participants will learn about adolescent development and the signs and symptoms of various mental health problems, including depressions, anxiety and substance abuse, among others.  The course also covers from where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown to be effective.
